SOLON, Maine — A truck driver suffered minor injuries Thursday when a rig hauling wood chips overturned on Route 201 shortly after 2 a.m., according to police.
Carole Fortin, 42, of Quebec was traveling too fast around a corner when he lost control, according to Sgt. Michael Knight of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.
Fortin’s rig, owned by B Roy Transport of Quebec, struck a guardrail before overturning, subsequently spilling some of the load into the road, Knight said.
Fortin suffered minor injuries and was taken to Redington-Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan, the sergeant said.
The crash remains under investigation.
