BANGOR, Maine — Members of the armed forces and their families will enjoy a free concert Thursday night thanks to a partnership between Waterfront Concerts and the Maine Army National Guard.

Approximately 2,300 free tickets to Thursday’s Lady Antebellum concert at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion will be available to active service members, veterans and their families, Sgt. Nathan Grace of the Maine Army National Guard said.

Grace said Thursday afternoon he believes all 2,300 tickets will be used.

To obtain the free tickets, military members or veterans must show their military or military dependent identification card and pick up their tickets at the entrance to the venue.

“We appreciate the opportunity to reach out and say thanks to our service members, veterans and also their families for the sacrifices they have made, and we’re glad to partner with Waterfront Concerts,” Grace said.

Thursday’s show marks the second time this season free tickets have been offered to military members and veterans, as the National Guard and Waterfront Concerts also teamed up to offer tickets to the Rise Above Festival in May.

Grace is hopeful the two will pair up to offer free tickets to another show later in the season.
