BRIDGTON, Maine — A Bridgton restaurant that planned to open in two weeks was destroyed by fire Friday morning.

The fire ripped through Vivo Restaurant on Depot Street around 6 a.m.

When crews arrived, heavy fire was coming from the second floor and into the first floor.

Crews from several towns helped Bridgeton firefighters get the blaze under control quickly.
