FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Kent native Austin Theriault earned a fifth-place finish in a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway.

Theriault, 21, started in sixth in the WinStar World Casino 400, which was won by truck series defending champ Matt Crafton.

Crafton held off a challenge from rookie driver Daniel Suarez and pulled away for the victory.

John Wes Townley finished third and was followed by Johnny Sauter and Theriault.

Crafton, Suarez and Sauter all drove Toyotas while Townley was in a Chevy and Theriault in a Ford.

It was the third of 13 races Theriault is driving for Brad Keselowski Racing in the No. 29 and he will also run the following two weeks: the Drivin’ for Linemen 200 at Gateway Motorsports Park in Illinois and the American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway.

Theriault finished fourth at the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 20 and 14th at the Toyota Tundra 250 at Kansas Speedway on May 8.
