HOWLAND, Maine — A Massachusetts woman, 75, is dead after a crash on I-95 in Howland Sunday afternoon.
Maine State Police said the woman was trying to switch directions using a crossover in the middle of the interstate when her vehicle was hit by another car in the passing lane.
The crash happened near mile marker 222. Three people in the other car suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
The woman was transported by lifeflight to Eastern Maine Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
