PORTLAND, Maine — Police and a local credit union are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a robber.
TruChoice Federal Credit Union and Portland police are collaborating to offer the reward, according to Lt. James Sweatt.
The bank was robbed at gunpoint on May 26 by a lone man, who remains on the loose, according to Sweatt. No customers or employees were injured during the robbery.
Sweatt said the offer expires on August 31. The suspect is an African-American male standing 5’10’’ to 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a fake mustache and a dark Afro style wig and a white hat, dark suit, light colored shirt and striped tie and black shoes at the time of the robbery.
The FBI is aiding in the investigation.
