HOULTON — Cameron Graham threw a no-hitter while striking out 10 batters and allowing just one walk on Wednesday to lead the No. 6 Houlton Shiretowners to a 9-0 Eastern Maine Class C preliminary baseball victory over No. 11 Piscataquis Community of Guilford.
Nick Botting and Dan Howe each had two hits to pace the offense while Botting scored three runs. Ryan Dee and Noah Holmes each had two RBI’s.
For the Pirates, Nate Burns drew a walk.

At Dexter, Kyle Johnson pitched a shutout, scattering 3 hits with 3 strikeouts 4 walks to propel Calais to the win.
Isaac Johnson paced the Blue Devils (8-9) with 3 singles and an RBI. Andrew Mulellan had a single and a double, and Kevin Beek stroked a double, a single and an RBI.

At Searsport, Troy Reynolds pitched a two-hit shutout and racked up 13 strikeouts in leading the No. 2-seeded Vikings to a Western Maine Class D quarterfinal win over the No. 7 Wiscasset Wolverines at Lloyd Rainey Field.
Barrett Grant led Searsport’s offense with a triple and two runs scored. Jay Burkard, Liam MacMillan and Reynolds each singled. Connor Kneeland scored a run and had an RBI.
Daren Wood and Matt Craig each singled for Wiscasset.

At Eastport, Nick Drew hit a single and knocked in two runs while Devin McGraw had a double and an RBI to lead Katahdin past Shead in a Class D prelim.
Brody Guiggey added two singles for the 6-9 Cougars of Stacyville.
For the Tigers, Matt Harris led the offense with two singles and an RBI. Ryan Eylar had a single and RBI. Shead finishes the season at 13-3.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Brooks Law’s sacrifice fly with one out in the seventh inning scored Chandler Rockwell to deliver No. 4 Foxcroft a walk-off preliminary win over No. 13 Caribou.
Rockwell walked to open the frame, stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error.
Caribou had scored two runs with two outs in the seventh after Foxcroft tallied three in the bottom of the sixth to take a 4-2 lead. With two outs and nobody on in the Vikings seventh, Dustin Bouchard singled, Mike Hunter doubled, Mason Huck knocked in a run with a single, and Hunter came home to tie the game on a wild pitch.
Clay Carroll’s one-out double in the bottom of the sixth scored Law and Nick Decker to erase a one-run deficit. Carroll advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored the fourth Pony run on a Dylan Huff groundout.
Decker singled twice, Carroll added a single, Sean Cody had a run-scoring single and Billy Brock triples for the 13-4 Ponies.
Bouchard and Hunter each had two hits and scored two runs for the 6-11 Vikings, while Dylan Conroy singled and doubled.

At Presque Isle, Kelsey Gilson paved the way to a Wildcat prelim victory with a clutch double and single while driving in 5 runs on the day.
Hailey Cameron collected 2 singles and a double to back winning pitcher Kelsey Gilson, who struck out five for Presque Isle.
Audrey Davis led Nokomis of Newport with 2 singles and Austin Leighton stroked a run-scoring double to support losing pitcher Elizabeth Dunivan.
John Bapst 13, Foxcroft 11
At Dover-Foxcroft, Haley Hughes hit two singles and drove in two runs to lead John Bapst to the win against Ponies to advance to the Class C quarterfinals.
Kayla Massey singled twice and Madi Higgins had two RBIs and two runs scored. Carley Scanlon doubled and drove in the tying run in the top of the seventh. Massey struck out seven batters in the win.
For Foxcroft Academy, Avery Carroll had three singles, a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Liz Richard tripled, singled and scored twice. Jenna Clukey had two doubles and scored two runs.

At Calais, Olivia Smith struck out 13 batters in a complete-game performance as the No. 3 Blue Devils defeated No. 6 Madawaska to advance to the Class C semifinals.
Smith tripled and rapped two singles to aid her cause. Faith Tirrell added three singles and one RBI while Kylie Donovan hit two singles for 15-2 Calais.
For 10-6 Madawaska, Liz Theriault singled twice and Gabby Cyr cracked a solo homer.
