BANGOR, Maine — A passenger jet made an emergency landing at Bangor International Airport on Monday afternoon, according to officials.
BIA director Tony Caruso said an electrical issue forced Air Canada Flight 692 from Toronto to Newfoundland to make the landing shortly after 2 p.m.
Caruso said 94 passengers and four crew members were aboard the flight. No injuries were reported.
The passengers and crew were taken to a sterile gate area at BIA and airport officials were working with Air Canada officials to provide them food and beverages.
Caruso said a relief aircraft to get the passengers to their destinations is expected to be brought in at an undetermined time Monday.
The Air Guard rescue response team made the initial response, and Bangor police and fire officials also responded.
