ARUNDEL, Maine — A collision on Route 1 on Saturday afternoon sent a Biddeford man to the hospital, according to police.
Devin Curry, 23, of New Gloucester was traveling north shortly after noon when she was hit from behind by Justin Gerrish, 24, of Biddeford, York County Sheriff William King said.
Curry had stopped at the Old Post Road intersection to make a left-hand turn, and Gerrish, who was also headed north, apparently did not see her, according to King.
Emylee Porter, 22, of Florida and Curry’s 2-year-old daughter were also in Curry’s vehicle but did not require hospitalization, King said. The child was riding in a child safety seat.
Gerrish suffered injuries not considered life threatening and was transported to Southern Maine Medical Center. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.
