PORTLAND, Maine — A Portland man was arrested late Monday after allegedly threatening staff at a restaurant with a knife, according to a police statement.
John Aboda, 33, is facing a charge of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
Shortly before midnight, police were called to a Congress Street establishment when a drunken man identified as Aboda was becoming disruptive, police said. He allegedly pulled a 6-inch knife from his waist and began to wave it in the air.
In addition to the knife, a sheath also was recovered, according to the police statement.
No injuries were reported.
