ORONO – Helen Foss, 85, died June 18, 2015 at a Dexter Healthcare facility. She was born July 4, 1929 in Portland, a daughter of Elmer and Elizabeth (Smith) Dougherty. Helen was employed for many years as a secretary at the University of Maine at Orono.
She is survived by 3 brothers, Robert and wife Evangeline Dougherty of Scarborough, Carl Dougherty of Otisfield, and William Dougherty of Texas.
A private graveside committal will be at the Black Point Cemetery in Scarborough.
