BRUNSWICK, Maine — A 24-year-old Brunswick man was stabbed in the lower leg Monday night during an altercation outside the Regal Cinema Theatre at Cook’s Corner.
The man, whose name was not released, was arguing with a 20-year-old man, also from Brunswick, when the assault allegedly occurred at about 11:45 p.m., Brunswick Police Cmdr. Marc Hagan said Tuesday.
“The two are very familiar with each other and had issues,” Hagan said. “They engaged in a verbal altercation that turned physical, and at one point the 20-year-old pulled out a knife and stabbed the 24-year-old in the leg.”
The alleged victim was taken to Mid Coast Hospital.
Police continue to investigate the incident. No charges had been filed as of Tuesday morning.
