For the most part — unexpected hail storms aside — summer time in Maine is best experienced outside.
Whether that means sipping a cold beverage on Old Orchard Beach, having a barbeque in your backyard or going for a hike in Acadia, chances are your clothes are going to get dirty.
You’ve probably already considered this inevitability. Grass, mud and liquid stains just seem more probable during the summer. Have you gone out and purchased a stain-remover, yet?
If you haven’t, don’t. Turns out, you probably already own one.
As much as I hated hydrogen peroxide as a kid — an abhorrence as permanent as the scars that created it — the stuff really did work. And I guess it works for clothing, too.
So don’t be afraid of getting dirty; and know your clothes — and cuts — can be treated this summer.
