OLD TOWN, Maine — Police found drugs at a Union Street residence Wednesday night, and a local man is behind bars, according to police.
Joshua Tidwell, 31, is facing multiple drug charges, according to Old Town Police Capt. Lee Miller.
A search warrant was executed in conjunction with an investigation into drug activity at the residence over the past several months. Miller said Detective Jordan Norton was the lead investigator.
Seized from the residence were heroin, Xanax, hash, an unknown substance and $5,071 in cash, Miller said.
Tidwell was charged with unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, a Class B felony, and unlawful possession of schedule drugs, a Class E misdemeanor.
The investigation is continuing and more people could be charged. Orono police assisted Old Town police.
