CALAIS, Maine — Kobe Saunders raced home with the winning run in the bottom of the sixth as Calais edged Coastal of Blue Hill 6-5 in District 1 LIttle League all-star baseball tourney action Thursday.
Chris Gregory doubled and Ayden Arsenault tripled with each driving in a run to spark Calais. Arsenault pitched the final 1 ⅔ innings to earn the win.
Nick Kane hit a solo homer to lead Coastal while Garrett Parker and Dawson Astbury each added a double, with Parker driving in a run.

Acadian 8, Ellsworth 6
At Ellsworth, Acadian of Bar Harbor rallied for two runs in the 10th inning to earn the win over Ellsworth in the District 1 tourney.
Porter Isaacs and Brady Renault each singled in the inning to spark the rally.
Sam Mitchell paced Acadian with a home run and RBI double while Logan Beckwith chipped in with an RBI single and double. Isaacs added an RBI single and Nate Philbrook notched two singles.
Jackson Curtis sparked Ellsworth with a two-run homer and double. Hunter Curtis contributed a home run, RBI single and sacrifice fly while Parker Littlefield and Sam Keblinsky each recorded three singles.
Acadian (1-0) will play Bucksport on Tuesday while Ellsworth will take on Machias or Calais on Thursday.

At Machias, Pete Keblinski recorded a triple and two singles to help Ellsworth earn the District 1 all-star tourney victory.
Michael Palmer chipped in with two doubles and two singles for Ellsworth while Caden Swett added a triple and single.
Ayden Wannemacher notched a double and single for Machias while Kason Fergerson and Brian Dennison each added two singles.

At Hampden, the Coffee News Comrades pounded out 13 hits on their way to the victor over RH Foster’s Hampden Riverdogs in Thursday.
Ben Crichton, Andrew Hillier, Peter Kemble and Kyle Stevenson had two hits apiece for Coffee News of Bangor while Sam Huston homered. Trevor DeLaite pitched a complete game, allowing five hits while striking out 10.
Jackson Gilmore sparked Hampden with two hits.
