CAMDEN, Maine — Adam Richardson pitched a complete game two-hitter to lead Motor City of Bangor to a 5-0 victory over Midcoast in American Legion Zone 1 baseball action Monday at the Camden Hills High School field.

Richardson struck out seven and walked four.

Ethan Stoddard sparked Motor City with a home run, single and two RBIs while Billy Phillips chipped in with a double and two RBIs. Tommy Burns added a double and an RBI.

Andrew Hall tripled for Midcoast.

Acadians 3, Penquis 1

At Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft, Nick Bagby, Ricky Will, and Gage Feeney combined to pitch seven innings of one-run baseball to lead the Acadians to victory.

Penquis’ Brandon Young was equally impressive on the mound, allowing two earned runs on only four hits through his seven innings of work.

Trenton broke up a 1-1 tie in the top of the sixth with a sacrifice fly from Feeney and an RBI single from Hank Vinall.

A single by Young drove in Matthew Spear for the Navigators’ only run, and Aron Smestad and Brooks Law each singled twice.

RH Foster 8, Steamboat 2

At Belfast, Casey Sudbeck pitched a complete game six-hitter to lead the RH Foster’s Hampden Riverdogs to the victory over Steamboat/Waldo County.

RH Foster pounded out 10 hits, including home runs from Ben Huston and Connor Farmer. Tyler Beaton added a triple and Jordan Dysart doubled.

Emery Dinsmore pitched a complete came for Steamboat. Drew Stanley had a double and single to pace Steamboat.

At Heddericg Field on Monday, Jack Corey pitched six shutout innings and Carter DeRedin came on in the seventh to earn the save as Brewer beat Post 51 of Oakland.

Corey allowed just four hits while not walking a batter and striking out two. DeRedin came on in the seventh with a runner on second and no outs to nail down the save. The pitchers were backed by a strong defense anchored by third baseman Kobe Rogerson, who made several spectacular plays.

Brewer scored its run in the first when Chase Allen singled and was plated by Matt Pushard’s double. Pushard, who was 3-for-3, also singled twice.

Post 51’s Cody Martin also gave up just four hits, walked one and struck out seven. Zach Mathieu doubled to lead off the seventh for Post 51. Trevor Gettig, Jake Dexter and Dan Pooler each singled.

At Bucksport on Sunday, Matt Pushard recorded a home run, double, three singles and four RBIs to power the Falcons to victory.

Logan Rogerson chipped in with three singles for Brewer while Chase Allen added a double and single. Alex Maxsimic contributed two singles and three RBIs while Tyler Maguire added two more singles and an RBI.

David Clark notched a triple for Steamboat of Waldo County and Mike Hustus double. Zach Collier and Emery Dinsmore each chipped in with an RBI single.
