Tennis Lessons

BANGOR — The Bangor Parks and Recreation Department in cooperation with Armstrong Tennis Center is offering two sessions of tennis lessons this summer. Lessons are for children age 5 to 14 and are offered at varied times by age.

Session I will take place Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, July 13-24.

Session II will be held also Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Aug. 3-14.

Lessons will be held at Hayford Park courts on 13th Street. The is cost $35 Bangor residents, $40 others.

Aqua Zumba

BANGOR — The Bangor Parks and Recreation Department will hold Aqua Zumba classes 5-5:50 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays 5-5:50 p.m. July 6-Aug. 12, at the Beth Pancoe Aquatic Center.

Session fee is $45 Bangor residents, $50 others.

There will be a $5 per day drop-in fee if there is room in the pool. If all slots are filled due

to full session registrations, there will be no drop-in time available.

Benefit golf tournament

HOLDEN — A golf tournament will be held at 8 a.m. Sunday, July 12, at Traditions Golf Course, 1 Main Road. Registration will begin at 7 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the American Cancer Society to benifet research, programs and services. Each team will receive a round of golf for four at a golf course in Maine. Many individual prizes and three silent auctions also will be part of the event.

Golfers wanted

ORONO — Dirigo Pines Retirement Community is seeking teams and sponsors for a golf tournament 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at Traditions Golf Club in Holden. All golfers will receive gift bags. Soccer officials classes
