ROCKLAND, Maine — A Camden woman was charged with driving to endanger Tuesday after police said she clipped a teenager riding a bicycle.
Sarah Havener, 29, of Camden was driving east Tuesday afternoon on Route 17 when the incident occurred, according to Rockland Police Sgt. Don Finnegan.
The 16-year-old girl from Thomaston who was hit suffered a scraped arm and was taken to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport for treatment, he said.
Havener initially was just issued a summons for having improper plates, Finnigan said. The police sergeant said she had placed license plates from another vehicle on the one she was driving.
After reviewing witness statements, Finnigan said, he also later charged Havener with driving to endanger.
