BANGOR — Penobscot Theatre Company’s Dramatic Academy will present “The Wedding Singer” at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, July 16-18, and 3 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at the Bangor Opera House.

Penobscot Theatre Company’s resident teaching artist and company member Benjamin Layman is directing “The Wedding Singer.” Choreographer AJ Mooney, Musical Director Ben McNaboe, Director of Education Amy Roeder, lighting designer Aaron Noble, sound designer Bob Rogers, and production manager Catherine Darragh round out the creative team.

Registration is now open for Session 2 of Dramatic Academy Summer, which will center around Shakespeare’s comedy, “Much Ado About Nothing” and a modern adaptation for younger thespians, “A Great Big Deal Over Nothing.” The session will begin Monday, July 27, and the performance dates will be Friday through Sunday, Aug. 14-16.
