WINDHAM, Maine — A prisoner died early Tuesday morning at the Maine Correctional Center, according to the Department of Corrections.
Robert Lewis, 67, died at approximately 1:30 a.m., according to a statement.
A cause of death has not been determined and Lewis’ death is being reviewed by Maine State Police and the medical examiner’s office.
Lewis had served four months of a three-year sentence on a charge of possession of sexual explicit material of a minor under age 12.
