WINTERPORT, Maine — Officials were expected to be at a Meadow Road home much of the day Wednesday investigating and evaluating suspicious materials found there, according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Grimes said the vacant house is owned by the bank.
“The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office had been doing a building check and observed some materials that didn’t look right,” Grimes said at the scene.
The Fire Marshal’s office, Department of Environmental Protection officials and Waldo County deputies were on scene investigating Wednesday and Grimes expects officials to be there all day.
