GORHAM, Maine — Local police are investigating an alleged burglary and assault that occurred last weekend, according to Detective Sgt. Dana Thompson.
Thompson said two men approached the back door of a Huston Road residence Sunday afternoon and forced their way inside, assaulting a woman while gaining entry.
The suspects stole undisclosed items from the residence before fleeing on foot, Thompson said. They fled toward Route 237 in the direction of Hannah Drive.
Both suspects are white men in their early to late 20s. One has short black hair, bushy eyebrows and was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, while the other has short brown hair and also was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.
Police don’t believe the public is in any danger and are seeking the public’s assistance in hopes the suspects will be caught.
