SHERMAN, Maine — Maine State Police are investigating a one-vehicle crash in which a 1998 Chevy S-10 pickup struck a church Saturday.

Robert Catlin, 47, of Stac

yville had been traveling east on Main Street in Sherman at 2:18 p.m. when he went straight through a fork in the road, missed a piece of construction equipment and struck a church, police said.

Catlin was taken to Houlton Regional Hospital by Patten Ambulance, police said. He had been wearing his seat belt and his injuries were not life threatening.

Police said speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
