WATERBORO, Maine — A local man faces child pornography charges after his arrest on Friday, according to the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Edward Vallee, 41, is charged with two counts of possession of sexually explicit material of someone under the age of 12, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.
Vallee was arrested by members of state police cmputer crimes unit, McCausland said. Police began investigating Vallee after receiving a tip.
A search of Vallee’s computer revealed thousands of images of child pornography, although none of the images appear to be of children from Maine, McCausland said.
Vallee, who works as a self-employed mason, was brought to the York County Jail.
