HOLDEN, Maine — A local woman died Tuesday afternoon when the sedan she was driving rolled over on Copeland Hill Road, according to police.
Margaret Park, 49, apparently lost control on a curve while traveling north, according to Holden police Sgt. Gene Fizell.
Park’s Buick went off the road to the right, diagonally crossed the road, then went into a stand of trees and overturned, according to Fizell.
Park was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, Phillip Tardiff, 53, of Holden, was brought to Eastern Maine Medical Center for undisclosed injuries, the sergeant said.
The accident remains under investigation, but initial details have indicated speed was a factor.
