ALBION, Maine — Some areas of Maine saw some impressive damage from Tuesday’s severe storms and people north and east of Waterville are wondering if they may have been hit by a tornado.

The storm only lasted minutes, but the cleanup will be a much longer process. Crews on Bog Road in Albion are replacing a snapped power line to get electricity back up and running.

Officials say strong winds blew a tree down onto the pole, which caused the entire street to lose power.

On Bent Road, a tree fell on a woman’s home while she was inside. No one was hurt.

Witnesses say Ping-Pong ball-size hail was coming down at rapid speeds. On Bog Road, strong wind gusts knocked a tree down on top of a truck.

The owner says pieces of her neighbor’s metal roof also ended up in her yard and some of her things are missing.

Officials expected power would be restored to all customers by the end of the night Tuesday and roads would be back open and safe to drive on.
