MILLINOCKET, Maine — The Bangor West and Scarborough all-stars will vie for the state crown in the ages 10-11 division after posting semifinal victories in the Little League baseball state tourney Wednesday at Kedderis Field.

Bangor West defeated Saco 11-8 and Scarborough beat Medomak Valley of Waldoboro 11-1 to set up a championship matchup at 5 p.m. Thursday.

In the first game, Joey Morrison sparked Bangor West by going 4-for-4 with two singles, a double and a home run. Cole Neale chipped in with two singles, Jonah Baude added a single and a double and Jack Perron had a double.

Anthony Jones, Mike McLeer and Christian Schaffer all singled twice for Saco. Kyle Sawyer and Diego Alonso both tripled and Blaise Fournier doubled.

In the second semifinal, Nic Frink homered twice to power Scarborough by Medomak. Peter O’Brien and T.J. Liponis each added two singles and Sam Clark tripled.

Anthony York, Garret Hutchins, Jake Bickmore and Ethan Reed all singled for Medomak Valley.

At Waldoboro, Hall-Dale and Biddeford will play for the state title in the Little League baseball ages 11-12 division at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Clyde L. Sukeforth Field.
