GRAY, Maine — With humidity and high temperatures baking the state yet again Thursday, there is a possibility of thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours, according to the National Weather Service.

A few strong thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging winds are possible in southern, western and coastal counties, according to the weather service.

Thunderstorms are also expected in Greater Bangor, which could produce heavy rain and strong winds, according to the weather service.

Van Halen is scheduled to play on the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor Thursday evening.
