WALDOBORO, Maine — Matthew Rousselle pitched a complete-game two-hitter as Biddeford won the Little League Baseball state championship for 11- and 12-year-olds with a 5-0 victory over Hall-Dale of Farmingdale on Thursday at the Clyde L. Sukeforth Field.

Biddeford advances to the New England championship tournament to be held at Bristol, Connecticut, beginning Aug. 10.

Rousselle struck out six batters and walked zero while allowing just singles to Hall-Dale’s Drake Bickford and Nick Leighton.

Rousselle also paced Biddeford’s five-hit attack with a double and a single, while Cody Albert added a double and Tommy Gonneville Jr. and Alec Descouteaux each singled.

Hall-Dale pitchers Logan Dupont and Ian Stebbins combined for nine strikeouts and one walk.

Biddeford finished the tournament with a 4-0 record.

Scarborough wins 10-11 baseball crown

At Kedderis Field in Millinocket, the Scarborough 10-11-year-old baseball all-stars erased a 6-1 deficit with 15 unanswered runs and defeated Bangor West 16-6 to capture the state championship.

Scarborough was led offensively by Peter O’Brien’s three singles. Cade Sullivan singled and tripled, Thomas Donahue singled and doubled, and T.J. Liponis, Ryan Kelly and Sam Clark all singled twice for Scarborough while Nik Frink and Joseph Townsend each doubled.

For Bangor West, Brady Hand singled and doubled, and Max Clark and Joey Morrison each singled.
