ENFIELD, Maine — A fallen power line has knocked out power to more than 2,700 Emera Maine customers in northern Penobscot County.

Crews were spending Monday afternoon attempting to restore service to 2,717 customers in multiple towns.

An outage in Aroostook County earlier Monday also knocked out power to 500 customers but service has been restored.

Service in Penobscot County was expected to be restored by 3:30 p.m.
