GRAY, Maine — Another round of severe thunderstorms are expected to rumble through the state Tuesday, according to the national weather service.

Tuesday’s round of thunderstorms was expected to start a bit earlier than those of Monday, with storms expected to start during the midday to early afternoon hours.

The best chance for thunderstorms will be in the southern part of the state, closer to the coast, according to the weather service.

The biggest threat will be damaging winds, although large hail and torrential downpours are likely as well.
