GRAY, Maine — Severe thunderstorms were once again in the forecast for Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
While the thunderstorms aren’t expected to be as severe as those that rumbled through the state on Tuesday, the chance of small hail is likely in some areas, according to the weather service.
Thunderstorms are expected to develop statewide Wednesday afternoon, while stronger storms could possibly produce hail around an inch in diameter, according to the weather service.
The storms are expected to linger through the afternoon hours.
