PORTLAND, Maine — A city movie theater was robbed Tuesday for the third time this year, according to a statement from Portland police.

A clerk was preparing to close around 10 p.m. when an armed man entered the Nickelodeon Cinema demanding cash.

The robber was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is a white man, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He is about 30 years old and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans and may have a nose ring.

Prior robberies at the facility occurred on Jan. 8 and April 2, and police are probing whether they are connected.
