PORTLAND, Maine — A man’s body was found in Portland Harbor near the Ocean Gateway Terminal on Monday, according to police.

The man, believed to be 43 years of age, was discovered by a city employee shortly before 1 p.m., according to a statement from police.

The man’s identity has not been released, and his death does not appear to be suspicious, according to the statement.

The body has been taken to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta for an autopsy.
