ROCKLAND, Maine — Officers and the public gathered Monday evening to watch as one of its veteran officers was recognized for his service by the City Council.
The council issued a commendation to Troy Peasley for 20 years of service. Peasley is the ticket officer for the city, having succeeded legendary ticket officer Earl “Walkie Chalkie” Robishaw.
Councilors praised Peasley for being an exemplary ambassador for the city in his interaction with visitors to the city.
The council also praised Peasley for his extensive volunteer work with the Special Olympics.
