SOUTH BERWICK, Maine — A Massachusetts man was hospitalized Sunday morning when his motorcycle collided with a car on Route 236, according to police.

Vincent Demore, 60, suffered two broken wrists and cuts from the accident, which occurred around 10:30 a.m., according to South Berwick Police Chief Dana Lajoie, citing a police report.

A car driven by Kathryn Wildnauer, 61, of South Berwick had stopped on Route 236 to make a left-hand turn into a farmstand, but Demore apparently didn’t see the vehicle and struck it from behind, according to Lajoie.

Demore, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, New Hampshire, for treatment. Wildnauer was not injured.
