NORWICH, Vermont — Vermont State Police charged a Maine man in connection to a deadly car crash.
Authorities say it happened on I-91 near Norwich, Vermont. Police say 54-year-old David Stefanik had pulled over when his tractor-trailer got a flat tire.
Police say Stefanik put out his hazard markers and was looking at his back tires on the driver’s side when a log truck, driven by 23-year-old Mason Morissette of Woodstock, sideswiped him and killed him.
Morissette is facing a charge of grossly negligent operation with fatality resulting from the crash and is due in court next month, according to Vermont’s WCAX.
