ALTOONA, Pennsylvania — Aaron Wilkerson delivered seven strong innings and Tim Roberson clobbered the game-winning, two-run homer, as the Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Altoona Curve 2-1 on Tuesday night in their Eastern League series opener at Peoples Natural Gas Field.

Wilkerson tied a team-high with 7 innings pitched, allowing his lone run in the first inning on a run-scoring groundout by Jose Osuna. The 26-year-old righty scattered four hits without a walk and fanned four. Wilkerson was perfect in four of seven frames.

Starter Chad Kuhl tossed six scoreless on three hits for Altoona (64-58) but was lifted for Tom Harlan in the seventh. With one out, Sam Travis doubled and Roberson followed with a two-run homer into the left-field seats. Harlan (5-3) took the loss, giving up both runs in two innings pitched.

Kyle Kaminska pitched two hitless innings with a walk and three strikeouts to earn the save in his 2015 debut with Portland (45-77). Kaminska last pitched with Portland in 2013.

Carlos Asuaje, Manuel Margot and Luis Martinez each had two hits for Portland.
