MILFORD, Maine — Three juveniles have been charged in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries in Milford, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Chief Deputy William Sheehan, deputies responded to 23 vehicle burglaries in town on July 16, while in the ensuing weeks, state police responded to a pair of commercial burglaries.

Sheehan said an investigation conducted by the sheriff’s office and state police were able to connect the crimes to a group of juveniles, whose ages were not disclosed.

Approximately 10 search warrants have been executed and three juveniles charged with burglary, with stolen property recovered, Sheehan said.

Sheehan said other charges are expected. Old Town police assisted in the investigation.
