WESTBROOK, Maine — Police are looking for a man they want to question after he entered two local financial institutions wearing a hoodie and a white surgical mask that covered his face.

The suspect is described as approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a medium build and brown hair, was seen wearing a Samuel Adams baseball hat and a grey hoodie and appeared to be missing teeth in the front, Westbook Police Department said in a statement released Monday.

The masked man walked into the TD Bank on Main Street in Westbrook at 11:10 a.m. Aug. 20.

“Staff at the bank asked him to remove the mask and he replied that he ‘was sick,’” the police said. “He then left the bank.

“Today at approximately 11:40 [a.m.] what appears to be the same male entered Ocean Communities Credit Union wearing the same hoodie and surgical mask,” the statement reads. “Today the suspect entered the bank and then immediately walked out.”

Westbrook police released photos of the person of interest and asked the public for information about the man shortly after he left the credit union on Monday.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man can contact the Westbrook Police Department at 584-2531.
