BATH, Maine — A 31-year-old Topsham man was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland early Sunday morning after he told police he had been stabbed in the abdomen.
Officers went to Front Street, near Patten Free Library, just after 6:30 a.m. Sunday after the man called 911. Officers found him there alone, suffering from an abdomen wound, Bath Police Lt. Robert Savary said.
The man told police he had been stabbed by someone he didn’t know, according to Savary.
Bath rescue workers took the man to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, and he was later transferred to Maine Medical Center with what Savary said were serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Citing an ongoing investigation, Savary declined to release additional information.
