RICHMOND, Maine — A 34-year-old man faces charges of domestic violence aggravated assault and domestic violence criminal threatening after police say he attempted to strangle and threatened to kill a 35-year-old woman.
Aaron Hinkley of Richmond was arrested Thursday afternoon at his home after the alleged victim told police he had assaulted her, Richmond Police Chief Scott MacMaster said.
Citing an ongoing investigation and “likely” additional charges, MacMaster declined to release additional information.
Hinkley was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail and released Friday on $3,500 bail. A court date was not immediately available on Tuesday.
