BOOTHBAY HARBOR — The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating a collision between a lobster boat and a sailboat Wednesday afternoon off Tumbler Island.
No injuries were reported in the crash, which occurred about 2 p.m., according to Officer In Charge William Armstrong at Coast Guard Station Boothbay Harbor.
Both boats are based out of Boothbay Harbor, he said, and both were able to return to port, although the sailboat had significant damage. Armstrong declined to name the vessels or their operators.
The Marine Safety Office continues to investigate the collision.
