GUILFORD, Maine — Blaine Avenue in Guilford was reopened shortly after 5 p.m. after being closed for several hours because of a logging truck rollover, according to the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office.
The rollover happened early Thursday afternoon. The driver, whose name was not disclosed, was pinned upside down in the cab, according to a posting on the department’s Facebook page.
Rescuers used the Jaws of Life and other tools to free the driver, according to the post. The extent of the driver’s injuries were not immediately known.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
