The Bangor High School girls and boys soccer teams both opened their seasons with 6-0 victories over the Oxford Hills Vikings Saturday.
At South Paris, Erynne Sauda and Libby Spekhardt each scored two goals to spark the Bangor girls victory.
Sauda scored in the first 14 seconds of the game while Spekhardt scored both of her goals in the first half, assisted by Katie Butler and Megan Connor to make it 3-0.
In the second half, Butler scored on a Spekhardt assist. Sauda added her second goal, assisted by Butler, and Sarah Bragg scored the Rams’ final goal on an assist by Ally Trimper.
Emily Gilmore, Maddie Hodgdon and Paige Cadorette played goal for Bangor, making two saves on two shots.
Sam Bickford made 16 saves on 30 shots for Oxford Hills
In the boys game in Bangor, Eli Clein recorded a hat trick to lead the Rams by the Vikings.
Clein scored his first goal — the eventual game winner — off a rebound just four minutes into the game and the hosts never looked back.
Carson Atherley, Jack Bourassa and Tom Sczewczyk each tallied a goal in the season-opener for both teams.
Bangor goalkeeper Stanley Clarke recorded a one-shot shutout.
Jake Beauchesne recorded seven saves on 21 shots for the Vikings.
