BANGOR, Maine — A man allegedly responsible for a rash of home burglaries on the East Side of Bangor has been arrested, police said Monday.

Nelson Keyser, 24, was arrested Friday and has been charged in connection with four of the eight reported burglaries, according to Sgt. Tim Cotton.

More charges are possible as the investigation continues. Cotton said last week each burglary occurred while nobody was home. He did not disclose what was taken from the residences.

Keyser was arrested without incident and booked into the Penobscot County Jail. He was expected to be in court later Monday.

According to Bangor Daily News archives, Keyser has an extensive rap sheet dating back to 2011.

In Augusta 2014, he was indicted on charges of aggravated forgery, motor vehicle burglary and two counts of theft and also has a drug charge from 2011 on his record.
