BANGOR, Maine — An adorable selfie taken by a Bangor police officer and posted on the department’s Facebook page was recently picked up by a national publication.
The post, featuring Bangor Police Officer Eddie Mercier taking a lost dog to the Bangor Humane Society, generated more than 8,700 likes and was shared more than 1,660 times.
The post was published by Sgt. Tim Cotton on Monday and was picked up by Time magazine.
“We do not normally share photos of those that are being taken into custody. In this case, we made an exception. The look on his face is that of defiance. A true outlaw. Bandit. Scofflaw. There is no changing this jail dog,” the posting read.
