LIMINGTON, Maine — A South Portland woman was injured Friday morning in a single-vehicle accident on Cape Road, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Victoria Thurston-Sellick, 25, was traveling south when she lost control of her vehicle and rolled it over, according to Sheriff William King.

King said the crash occurred around 10 a.m.

Thurston-Sellick, who was not wearing her seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. King said she had drifted into the shoulder of the road and overcorrected, causing her to lose control.

King said the vehicle came to rest in a stand of trees, which prevented it from rolling onto Thurston-Sellick.

Thurston-Sellick suffered back and shoulder injuries and was transported to Maine Medical Center by LifeFlight helicopter.
