PALMYRA, Maine — A Hartland woman was killed instantly when her car struck a tree on the Raymond Road Sunday afternoon, according to the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Aimee Lasco, 29, was not wearing a seat belt when she lost control of her car and struck the tree around 2 p.m., according to spokesman Stephen McCausland.
Three children, two of them Lasco’s, were in the car and suffered minor injuries, McCausland said. The children, ages 4, 5 and 7, were walking along the road when first responders arrived.
The most serious injury was a fractured knee suffered by the 7-year-old.
