PORTLAND, Maine — A New Hampshire woman was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court to 18 months in prison for distributing heroin in Maine and her home state between April and December 2014.
Crystal Page, 24, of Rochester, New Hampshire, also was sentenced to three years of supervised release, according to information posted on the court’s electronic case filing system.
She was indicted a year ago by a federal grand jury on two counts of distribution of heroin and arrested Oct. 10 on the federal charge. She pleaded guilty to the charges in December and was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
Page’s bail was revoked in January after she repeatedly failed drug tests, according to court documents.
She distributed the drugs under the direction of her boyfriend, Andre Hunter, 48, of Rochester, New Hampshire, according to court documents. He is serving a 20-year sentence at a federal penitentiary in Waymart, Pennsylvania.
She faced up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million. Under the prevailing federal sentencing guidelines, the recommended sentence was between 2½ years and three years and one month. Her attorney, David Van Dyke of Lewiston, urged Page serve a 10-month sentence.
